Sometimes people compresses the c drive or boot drive of the computer to get more space on that drive. The system files are also compressed due to this action and when next time you starts your computer it shows error like :
"bootmgr is compressed.
Please press alt+ctrl+del to restart"
This error due to the compression of boot files of system. Then there is only solution for this is to decompress this drive.

Here we helps you to resolve this error step by step:
1. Insert a live dvd or a bootable dvd of your window 7.
2. On startup,press F2 or F12 to boot from dvd.
3. Now select language etc and press next.
4. Here you need to select the 'Repair Your Computer' option. Then choose load drivers option.
5. Here you can able to see a small GUI. Choose my computer and right click on C drive or your compressed boot drive.
6. Select properties and deselect compression option which you have checked previously checked to compress the disk and press ok.
7. This wants the administrator permissions to prompt,click on continue.

8. When all done,just restarts your computer. This time your computer stars normally without bootmgr error.

You are advised to use the /rebuildBcd attribute with bootrec command like bootrec /rebuildBcd. This definitely fix it.
